What can I customize?

Everything! No custom piece of furniture is built or finished until it’s ordered so you can control everything about it.

How do I care for my furniture?

Your furniture is built from solid wood and is designed to be durable and livable. Our furniture is sealed with a polyurethane finish to protect the wood from heat and moisture, so you don’t need to worry about coasters. Families love the durability and longevity of our furniture.

For daily care, we recommend cleaning with water or any cleaning product intended for wood surfaces. Avoid abrasive cleaners and harsh chemicals. If you have any care questions, please don’t hesitate to call or email us.

  • How do I place an order?

    There are a number of convenient and easy methods to help you place your order with Better Wood Works. If you’re interested in a piece currently on this site you can order directly with Viktor at (802) 747-8564 or by email at betterwoodworks@gmail.com.

    If you are interested us creating a custom design, please contact Viktor directly by phone or email.

  • What is the expected lead time?

    Average lead times are around 12 weeks, but they can vary depending on the season and the economy. A more precise lead time will be provided at the time of order.

  • Is Better Wood Works guaranteed?

    Better Wood Works furniture stands 100% behind each piece of furniture, guaranteed for the lifetime of the original owner. Each piece is guaranteed against structural defects in materials and workmanship. Should either of these defects arise, we will repair or replace the piece at our discretion.

  • What are the payment terms?

    A 50% deposit is required to initiate your order. This should cover the cost of supplies. The balance, including shipping charges and any applicable taxes, is due prior to shipment. Payment can be made by Check, VISA or MasterCard.

  • What are the wood options?

    Reclaimed wood and domestic woods, we work with everything and handpick each piece. Exotic woods used as accents can also be included. Please contact us if you’d like to discuss the use of other wood choices.

  • Can I get a wood sample?

    Samples are available for wood and stain choices. Please contact us directly to discuss.

  • What about shipping?

    Furniture prices quoted do not include shipping charges. Shipping is via a fully insured, blanket wrap service. Your furniture will be set-up in your home or office and all packing materials removed. Shipping will be quoted at the time of order. South Carolina state sales tax is waived for all shipments that leave the state.

    Please inform us of any narrow doorways, stairways and tight corners, so we can plan tricky deliveries with our shipper. A careful inspection of each piece should be made at the time of delivery. If any damage is found, you must note your bill of lading and confirm the damage with the shipper, so we can take the appropriate action. After pieces have been inspected and placed, the sale is final.
